Putting up the Christmas tree was such a sad day. Peter, our elf on the shelf, went back to the North Pole and the stockings went back to the designated “Christmas Decor” box. With all of these snow days (ice days, rather), we’ve been taking it slow and enjoying the holiday before heading back to work. The time between Christmas and New Years is a very awkward one, but that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace it with some hot chocolate and a vintage movie. Although all of the festive decorations are put up in storage, we still try to keep it warm and cozy for winter around here. This includes putting the needle on a Bob Iver record and keeping the hazelnut candles lit, even a cup of coffee at 4 p.m. is in the picture. So I put together some cozy winter essentials (the socks are definitely on the top of the list) and I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!
