I’ve really been needing a closet make-over and I’ve especially been realizing it around the holidays when everyone is dressed up and ready to party. For a while, I had only a select few pieces that I’d regularly wear: a basic black sweater and hollister jeans with some loafers… yeah, pretty depressing.
So upon deciding I needed to start on a new wardrobe, I figured that H&M would be the ideal place to start off with some basic clothing. Personally, I define basic clothing as pieces you can mix and match and pair with anything! Aka, the easiest (and usually most comfortable) way to dress.
I started off by selecting some cozy turtle necks and stuck with neutral colors like black or grey that’s easy to pair with anything. I think my favorite top is the cream colored v-neck sweater, it’s very light-weight so if you’re down south like me, it’s perfect for mildly cold weather! Check out my post for cozy (and cute!) sweaters under $50.
In addition to this, I roll up my sleeves and add a leather watch with these adorable flats from Journee Collection at Target. These looks are easy and super budget friendly for the holidays!
